In our classic green t-shirts, a large contingent of the Payday team gathered in October 2013 at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk to walk for a cause near and dear to our hearts: the fight for a cure for ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease.

At the 6th annual JT Walk is named in honor of Josh Thompson, the son of prominent Va Beach developer and hotelier Bruce Thompson. More than 30,000 people have participated in the JT Walk over the past six years, and we are honored to be among them.

At this particular JT Walk, Payday Payroll walked in support of Tommy Grant. Tommy worked at Payday Payroll for almost 14 years.  At Payday, Tommy was affectionately referred to as the "Candy Man" since it was his idea to put chocolate in the payroll packages.  Tommy was not only a great employee, but he was also family as Andy Kline’s brother-in-law. He fought ALS bravely and maintained a positive attitude until he passed in January 2014.

We love the JT Walk, believe deeply in its cause and look forward to participating in 2014.
