The IRS annually adjusts the limits on individual deferrals and contributions to employer-sponsored retirement savings plans, such as the popular 401(k) and 403(b) plans, as well as to Individual Retirement Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, and a variety of other types of deferred compensation plans.

Comparative limits for 2019 and 2018 are shown in the following table.
